Richard is originally from upstate New York, where he started playing music of the day with various groups. Shortly after relocating to central Florida in 1992,Richard began experimenting with computer generated backing tracks. The technological advances over the years have enabled Richard to sound like he is playing with a full combo of real instruments. Richard is sensitive to volume and believes that the music should not overpower conversation.

Richard does not sing, however, he plays a wide variety of easy listening and smooth jazz tunes, most of which are easily identifiable by his audience.

His music has been appreciated at restaurants, wine bars, outdoor and private events.
